Handmade In Aotea

All Aotea products are handmade on Aotea (Great Barrier Island) New Zealand using native flora grown, harvested, extracted, and bottled by our team. Our ingredients are predominantly natural, with a focus on organic sources whenever feasible. While we prioritize organic ingredients, it's essential to acknowledge that not all can be certified organic due to being wild-harvested, reflecting the unique nature of our island-based production process.

Kūmarahou contains saponins which are natural surfactants that produce a foamy natural lather when combined with water. This unique shampoo gently and efficiently cleans the hair without stripping it of its natural oils, leaving hair hydrated and silky smooth. Additionally, Kūmarahou also possesses remarkable anti-fungal properties that effectively soothe and calm irritated scalp conditions. With the added antibacterial benefits of mānuka hydrosol, this shampoo also aids in alleviating dandruff and psoriasis, promoting a healthier scalp.

Ingredients

Kūmarahou

The kūmarahou flowers contain saponins, which are natural surfactants that produce a foamy lather, which can gently cleanse your hands and body without using the harsh chemicals normally found in soaps to create foam.

Antimicrobial Antiseptic Anti-inflammatory Moisturising

Mānuka

Like our other inputs, our Mānuka oil is extracted onsite at our farm. The oil is used extensively in our range exhibiting anti-microbial and healing qualities. We also use Mānuka hydrosol which is a by-product of our distillation process that closes pores in the skin and is incredibly restorative.
