Handmade In Aotea

All Aotea products are handmade on Aotea (Great Barrier Island) New Zealand using native flora grown, harvested, extracted, and bottled by our team. Our ingredients are predominantly natural, with a focus on organic sources whenever feasible. While we prioritize organic ingredients, it's essential to acknowledge that not all can be certified organic due to being wild-harvested, reflecting the unique nature of our island-based production process.

The Aotea Honey Pack contains:

1 x 125+ MGO Mānuka Honey

Our Mānuka Honey is sourced sustainably from our hives on AOTEA – Great Barrier Island. With the island covered in Tea Tree, our Mānuka Honey is all quality with a certified MGO (Methylglyoxal) rating of 125+. We care about our bees so we make sure we only take what they can spare – it is super important that they keep the lions share so they can thrive through the winter.

1 x 300+ MGO Mānuka Honey

Our Aotea Mānuka Honey 300+ is the next step up when you are searching for the amazing anti-microbial properties found in manuka honey. With more than double the MGO rating of our Aotea Mānuka Honey 125+, the Aotea Mānuka Honey 300+ packs a serious dose of the active methylglyoxal. It is an anti-microbial warrior. All our honey is sustainably sourced and packed straight from the hives so it's just as nature intended - raw and unpasteurised. 1 x 500+ MGO Mānuka Honey

Our Aotea Mānuka Honey 500+ has the highest MGO of our range meaning it has the highest anti-microbial activity. This is a great natural remedy on the back of the throat for fighting bad bacteria and protecting the immune system.

Handmade in Aotea

Mānuka truly is one of nature’s special gifts. Despite its incredible global popularity, it's important to consider that Mānuka flowers only bloom for 2-6 weeks every year, which speaks to how rare and delicate the process of attaining Mānuka honey really is. Our honey comes from Aotea also known as Great Barrier Island, covered in first generation Mānuka trees. This means that there is no cross-pollination between other flowers of other plants. The consequence of this is that our mono-floral capacity is off the charts and our honey is considered to be the purest on the planet.
