Eczema & Psoriasis

In case you didn’t know (and we’re unsure if anyone doesn’t know!) eczema is a skin inflammation of dryness, redness and itchiness. It can range in severity from dry and flaky skin to cracked and oozy skin.

What’s epic is that Kawakawa Balm can help you get rid of your eczema. She’s a soothing natural balm, that will alleviate eczema's irritating and painful symptoms, so you won't scratch, itch and inflame your skin by introducing harmful bacteria to an area your body is already fighting off!

Also - eugenol, an antiseptic chemical, is an active compound existing in kawakawa. We concentrate this compound in the process we use when we create our balm.

Why is Kawakawa Good for Psoriasis?

Psoriasis, on the other hand, is a frustrating and challenging autoimmune disease of the skin. When the immune system, normally our body’s best friend against illness, mistakenly attacks healthy skin cells, you can get whole patches of your body turning a shade of colour from red to purple as well as becoming scaly, dry and itchy.

Kawakawa leaves contain myristicin, a known immunosuppressant. This active compound is important for it blocks the body’s immune response that is causing the death of healthy skin cells!

Furthermore, our balm is made with care and love and we are mindful of wanting to soothe your damaged skin!

What our Kawakawa Balm is made of:

We use only 3 ingredients in your Kawakawa Balm, she’s super simple.

Our Kawakawa Balm is made of the plant agents and chemicals extracted from the kawakawa leaves we pick by infusing with sweet almond oil. Next we add mānuka oil and beeswax to complete the balm.

Other uses:

And just a quick rundown, the plant agents also make Kawakawa Balm perfect for minor cuts and grazes, pimples, chapped lips and nappy rash. A protective coat of Kawakawa Balm can save the skin from swelling, excess evaporation and allow it to regenerate.
